There is only “German Science”, “Jewish Science”, etc. The implied objective of this line of thought is a nightmare world in which the Leader, or some ruling clique, controls not only the future, but the past. If the Leader says of such and such an event, “It never happened”—well, it never happened. If he says that “two and two are five”—well, two and two are five. This prospect frightens me much more than bombs—and, after our experiences of the last few years [the Blitz,1940–41] that is not a frivolous statement.

‘Look around you. What is real? It’s not money – the price of stuff changes all the time. How can it be real if its value is always changing? And what that does say about the banks that prop up the world economy? They’re fake too. The value of the banks depends on what confidence we have in the value of stuff. If we don’t believe in the value the banks give it, they crash! And that means the whole world economy is fake. It’s one big conspiracy. That’s right, my fellow Americans, we are living in a conspiracy and it’s time to get out and get real.
‘American debt is at the heart of the conspiracy. It’s over thirty-five trillion dollars! Thirty-five trillion dollars… Do you even know how many zeros that is?! And do you know how much it costs just to pay the interest on that debt? More than five hundred billion dollars per year. That’s equivalent to the entire GDP of Scandinavian countries like Sweden. In Sweden they make nice cars and have cool furniture. They don’t spend all their money on debt.

We landed on the moon and didn’t even claim it, and everyone uses our satellites now. We rebuilt Europe after the war. It wasn’t our war, but we went in and won it. We even invented the bomb that made the Japanese surrender. Our debt is keeping us from being real. It’s a made-up tax the world has imposed upon us. It’s not fair, and it’s payback time.

It is time we realised the power we have. It’s time we used that power for us, not for others. It is time that power gave us value not debt.’
